Jadavpur University is a premier University in the State of West Bengal and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a Umvers-ty with Potential for Excellence (UPE). A Search Committee' constituted by the Governor of West Bengal for the appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the University is seeking nominations with the intent to widen the search process, for consideration for the said position. Eminent academicians with proven track record and a commitment to nurturing and promoting excellence m teaching and research and with ten years of experience in the University system (at least five years as Professor) or ten years of experience in a reputed research or academic organization (at least five years in a post equivalent lo that of a Professor) can be nominated Present and former Vice Chancellors of State and Central Universities. Meads o' reputed academic and research institutions and eminent scholars are invited to nominate
Nominations, along with the nominees' curriculum vitae indicating Academic Qualification. Research and Administrative experience may be forwarded so as to reach the Registrar. Jadavpur University (email pkghosh@admin.jdvu.ac.in) within 15 days from the date of advertisement. AJI nominations by post should be in an envelope clearly marked 'For Vice Chancellor's position'. The Committee reserves the right to consider persons of eminence outside the list of such nominations. No self-nominations will be accepted.
