General Conditions for all the Posts:

As mentioned in the detailed Advertisement, editing/modification/addition is not possible after submission of form. Hence, candidates should be very careful while filling the applications.
The Institute reserves the right to rectify any discrepancy in the grade pay, pay band, etc., if found later on.
Application fee of Rs. 300/- is payable in the form of Demand Draft from a Nationalized Bank by all applicants for each post other than SC and ST categories. Application fee is also exempted for Women and PH/PwD candidates.
Incomplete applications or applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.
Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay and loss-in-transit.

The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence/interim inquires will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of
selection/interview. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Ranchi.
No TA/DA will be paid to attend the selection process (Written Test/Proficiency Test and/or Interview).
Numbers of vacancies including those under reserved categories are purely provisional.
Age limit is not applicable for NIFFT employees having minimum six years of experience in the immediate lower post of same cadre.
Age relaxation and reservation in appointment for SC/ST/OBC/PH & PwD candidates is applicable as per government norms.

Selected candidates will be under probation for 2 years and will be confirmed subject to satisfactory completion of the probation and other requirements as per rule.
Mere eligibility will not confer any right on any candidate for being called for selection test and/or interview. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview/selection test to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification, experience, and relevant to its needs higher than those prescribed in this advertisement.
The Institute reserves the right to offer a lower post including entry level post of the cadre to any candidate if sufficiently qualified and experienced candidates with commensurate performance in trade test and interview are not available at higher GP.
Besides, pay and allowances, leave, medical facilities, etc. are admissible as per Central Government Rules.
The prescribed qualifications are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her to be called for written examination/interview.

Higher initial basic pay and GP may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidate(s) with relevant experience.
Institute employees serving at the immediate lower post of the same cadre for at least 6 years and found suitable through trade test and interview will get first preference in appointment to posts higher than the entry posts, in order of their rank in the recommended panel. The balance posts will be made available to others. A panel of eligible candidates shall be prepared as per recommendation of the Selection Committee and vacancies that arise within one year will be filled in sequence out of the panel.
All Qualification, Experience and Age Limit will be recognized as on 31/08/2014. Demand Draft will be payable in favour of NIFFT, HATIA, RANCHI.
The Institute is fully residential. House rent allowance is only payable in case of nonavailability of accommodation in the campus. Those who have applied earlier for the Post of SI. No. 1 they need not apply again.

1. Engineering and Technology:
Professor	I. Essential: I. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg. & Tech., and experience often years in teaching, research and •' or industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor Reader or equivalent grade. OR II. In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: 1. First Class Master's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech.; 2. Significant professional work which can be recognizeds as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech., and industrial professional experience often years, out of which at least five years at a senior level of Assistant Professor f Reader. * Provided that the recognition for significant professional work shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University III. Associate Professor	Essential: A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg.. & Tech., and experience of eight years in teaching, research and /or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree. OR In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: First Class Master's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech.; Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech., and industrial/professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer, Provided that the recognition for significant professional work shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. 2. Management
Professor	Essential: Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master's Degree in Business Management f Administration I in a relevant discipline or consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE /UGC;. OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant /Cost and works Accountant /Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body Ph. D. or Fellow of Indian Institute of Management or of an Institute recognized by AICTE and declared equivalent by the AIU. A minimum often years' experience of teaching / industry / research/professional out of which five years must be at the level of Reader or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree. ORIV. In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: 1. Assistant Professor	Essential: First Class Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE /UGC; OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant /Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. Desirable: Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; Paper presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journal. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (.API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the Regulations, 2013 (2nd Amendment).
3. Sciences and Humanities
Professor	Essential: An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned allied 'relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and or research policy papers. A minimum often years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions industries. including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process. OR An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned allied relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the Regulations, 2013 (2nd Amendment).
Associate Professor	Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned allied relevant disciplines. A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and or research in an academic research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a university. College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and or research policy papers. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the Regulations, 2013 (2nd Amendment).
Assistant Professor	Essential: Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET. SET Notwithstanding anything contained in point no. (i) and (ii) to this Clause candidates, who are. or have been awarded a Ph. D.
