Appointment of Project Assistant

Applications are invited for the following post on purely temporary basis to work on the project entitled "A study on the effect of emergence and evolution of galaxy clusters on ICM energy distribution" funded by the DST, Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB), Govt, of India to Dr. Surajit Paul under DST-SERB Young Scientist Scheme in Physical Sciences. The details of the post are as follows: 

1. Name of the post : Project Assistant - 01 (OBC) 
2. Fellowship : 12,000/- [Consolidated]
3. Duration : 1 year or till the Project ends (which ever is earlier) (The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended to 1 year or unto the full tenure of the project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be)
4. Essential Qualifications : M. Sc. (Physics) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade. 
5. Desired Qualifications : Knowledge of hydrodynamics (its use in Astrophysics) & High Energy Astro-Particle Physics is essential. Those who have taken a full course on Astrophysics will be given preference.
6. Walk in interview on : 15th November, 2014 ( Reporting time: 10:00 am at the Department of Physics, SP Pune University)
