Pune School Admission RTE From 24th March 2014
Pune schools will start to give admissions to the candidates from economically backward class.
As per the RTE Act (Right To Education), all the schools that come under this act had to reserve 25% of their class 1 for the children of the economically backward class of the Indian society.
The admissions will start from 24th March 2014.

FYI the RTE is applicable only from class 1 t0 class 8. After this there is no mention of any ruling in the act!
Mane said that documents such as SC/ST certificate, income certificate, disability certificate, residence proof, birth certificate and passport size photographs will be required during the admission process. He added that orphans will require a letter from their orphanage for school admission.
“Since we are expecting more applications than the intake capacity, admissions will be drawn through a lottery system and parents will be informed about their status through SMS,” said Mane.
