Applications are invited on plain paper for the following position (Purely on Temporary basis) to be filled up in the Bioinformatics Centre, Savitribai Phule Pune University under the DST-PURSE program. The details are as follows:

1. Name of the Post : Research Associate
2. Number of Post : 1 (One)

5. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. with specialization in Bioinformatics/Machinc Learning /Metabolic Pathway Engineering/ Systems Biology with a minimum of 55% marks in M. Sc. (50% for candidates in reserved category) or equivalent grade OR M. Sc. Bioinformatics with two years of research experience in the areas mentioned above, a minimum of 55% marks in M.Sc. (50% for candidates in reserved category) or equivalent grade and at least one publication in SCI journal. Preference will be given to B.I.N.C. /J.R.F / N.E.T./S.E.T. qualified candidates
6. Total emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 20,000/- per month
7. Tenure : Initially for a period up to 31st March 2015, which may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the said program.

Application should be submitted along with the following documents:

1. A copy of resume with a recent passport size photograph.
2. Attested/True copies of Statement of Marks, Degree/diploma certificate, other certificates related to educational qualifications.
3. Attested/True copies of Caste, non-creamy layer certificate, validity certificates for reserved category-candidates (If applicable).
4. Copies of publications.

Important Instructions:

1. The complete application along with necessary documents and certificates should reach to The Director. Bioinformatics Centre, Savitribai Phule Pane University. Ganeshkhind Road, Pune -411007 on or before 25th September. 2014 within official hours (i.e. 10.20 am to 06.00 pm). Applications received after the last date of submission i.e. 25 September, 2014 cannot be taken into consideration.
2. Envelope containing application form should be superscripted as 'Application for the post of R.A.-DST-PURSE, Bioinformatics Centre, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
3. The suitable candidates will be called for interview by e-mail/telephone after short-listing.
4. No T.A. or D.A. or any other allowance will be paid to the candidate appearing for interview.

General Information about the post:

1. Appointment would be purely on temporary basis for a period up to 31st March 2015. which may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project. Appointment will be automatically terminated on the expiration of the said program. The appointed person shall not claim any right to be continued in the services of the University,
2. The qualification prescribed in the advertisement should be from recognized Universities/Institutions.
3. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
4. Candidates that try to bring any influence, political or otherwise/canvass for the above mentioned post will be disqualified.
