National Institute of Science Education and Research. Bhubaneswar is looking for a creative. enthusiastic and passionate Web Designer to join its team on Short term Contract/Work Assignment basis.

• Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor degree (preferably in science) and proficiency in english language. He She should have commercial experience using Photoshop. HTML, PHP. CSS and JavaScript to join our growing, innovative and expanding Internet Services and Hosting.
• Essential experience (skills required):

1. Working experience as a Web Designer or similar role in a professional environment for more than 3 year.
2. Commercial experience using Photoshop. Illustrator knowledge
3. Experience in hand coding HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript
4. Well conversant in using Mac OS X, Window's and Linux
5. Creative insight and eye for detail and the ability to resolve creative problems
6. Experience in using Frameworks such as jQuery, HTML5, XHTML, XML, video multimedia.
7. Experience in handling tablet / smart phone design and/or AJAX would be advantageous along with knowledge of Version Control Systems, Git, Ruby.
8. Experience, in handling content management system (CMS) like Jhoomla, is a plus.

• The person will be encouraged to come up with ideas to enhance and update NISER website dynamically by constant monitoring and interactions with various users and advisory committee.
• Salary: A consolidated amount of Rs.30,000-35000 in commensurable with educational qualification and experience.
• Age: Not more than 35 years, as on the last date of application (i.e. 15   June 2014)
